Mirrors for EagleEye arrived

EagleEye project update! Last week the mirrors for the EagleEye telescope arrived! These are hyperbolic mirrors, with the largest diameter we have ever used in our telescopes. The diameter of the main mirror is more than 2 times larger than in our first ScanSAT telescope. The team of engineers responsible for the design of the telescope has conducted the first visual inspection of the mirrors in a room dedicated for such tasks – the cleanbox. Interesting fact: a set of mirrors for one telescope consists of two mirrors – a primary (shown in the picture) and a secondary.
