MoU with Space Inventor on Cooperation on Space Activities
LOGAN, Utah, Aug. 8, 2024 – Scanway S.A. (“Scanway”), a leading Central Europe payload provider, and Space Inventor A/S (“Space Inventor”), a Danish microsatellite manufacturer have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“the MoU”) on cooperation on space activities.
The co-operation under this MoU may include such areas of interest as: Earth Observation from Space, use of satellite information especially for studies related to the agriculture, environment, natural resources and emergency management, satellite systems and platforms development, ground infrastructure for space systems and their applications, space education and training, satellite scientific missions aiming for Earth orbit or Deep Space and other.
Space Inventor will provide the cutting-edge microsatellite platforms, which will be featured by scalability, ensuring performance and reliability, while Scanway will develop a state-of-the-art optical instruments fully customized for the platform and providing imaging with parameters appropriate to the objectives of the future mission.
This partnership is an important step in reinforcing the position of the European New Space industry, and opens up the possibility of creating new commercial space missions.
